As for the title, I have a profound feeling of displacement as I am currently living far away from my gorgeous home country, Hungary, and I am a wanderer with a heart for adventure.

This piece is dedicated to my four loves: travel, photography, foreign cultures, and languages.

I will feature all my everyday wanderings and holidays, new journeys as well as old ones (since having this feeling of displacement – as of 2010). This expression comes from my university years when once we were analysing Washington Irving’s Rip Van Winkle, and the professor went into great details about the protagonist’s experience of displacement. For a strange reason, I cannot get this out of my head ever since. My ambitious plan is to visit as much as humanly possible in this one life and rediscover already known and not-so-far-away places. I have to learn to be conscious of all the beauty around me, which I tend to forget.

So welcome, Dear Reader! I hope you’ll stick around. :)
